Knitting Basics for Anyone

I’ve been working on a couple of projects with knitting and while in the processes realized that I must be doing something wrong with my purls.  Turns out that I just wasn’t moving the yarn, but that’s not the point of this post.  I realized that I needed a refresher on the basics of knitting (i.e. easiest way to cast on and transitioning between knit and purl in the same row); so I did what any good crafter would do when they can’t remember something.  I went to YouTube.  I’m so glad I did!  The 2 videos below show you the basics of knit and purl stitches, as well as how to cast on and cast off and what to do if you drop a stitch.  If you already know how to do these, she has other, more advanced lessons on her channel, but this was perfect for what I needed.  I hope that you find these videos as approachable as I did and see that knitting isn’t all that hard and anyone can do it.  Happy Knitting!
